This is a summary of my 4th week of the coding period.

GSoC’20 with SCoRe Lab

Week 3 was a bit hectic but was good, I came to know more about React components and in depth inner working of React, after setting up all the tools and boilerplate in week 1, created login and Admin page components in week 2, and then created Manager and Extractor pages in week 3, I was ready to dig more and perform the tasks related to week 4 to make a web client of OpenMF. Had a few meetings with my mentors discussing about the on going work and work related to week 4.

The task for this week was something new to me. After creating all the base components, now is the time to make things in action and implement the routing to the existing designs, I started off with implementing the different routes as mentioned in my GSoC proposal.

In this week I completed some rest over work and added the routes to the base components of Login page, Admin Page, Manager Page and Extractor Page. The routing is the soul of any React app as it combines all the components and load them dynamically when required. These routes will be used in future to get attached with Flask server and will be helpful in fetching data and firing requests to different Flask APIs. All the work related to week 4 can be found in this PR.

That’s it for the week 4, will quick start the work with implementation of Flask Backend in week 5.

Thanks for reading! 🙂
